virtual lab proxy appliance power off after start

Post by tgm »

Hello,

it looks like that after update veeam B&R to 10a (Build 10.0.1.4854) the proxy appliance powers off after power on. The virtual lab was updated too.

The error i was able to see in the vmware console was:
Error: cp: can't open '/dev/fd0': No such device or address
Critical error: Unable to read settings, exiting
/etc/init.d/rc.S: line 32 can't create /dev/fd0: No such device or address

for me fd0 is the floppy device. VM has no floppy configured but a CD/DVD.

Maybe i'm not the first one with this error .. if someone has a case the solution would be great to know.
If i'm the first i will open a case ;-)

Update: if i add a new virtual lab then this VM has a floppy drive. So i tried to add a floppy drive to my existing virtuallab poryappliance VM. In vSphere6.7 HTML5 gui there is no way to do this but in the FLASH GUI you can add a floppy drive. Then let it point to the config.flp file which is located in the directory of the appliance on the datastore of it. Enable the "connect at boot" option and go
