Vmware tools quiesce / veeam VSSapplication aware

Hi everybody,

i'm trying to backup a vm with two type of applications with Veeam V5.
The vm is running an sql server express for the first application and the second application is based on Lotus Domino Server.
The first one is vss aware and if i check the good option in veeam backup, the vss do is job.
The second one isn't vss aware and i must launch a script to shutdown domino and restart it after snapshot. I do that with a script and checkthe box "enable vmware tools quiescence".
The challenge is how do i backup this two database (mssql) and (domino) because does'nt want to execute the two type of script (made by hand and vss).

Hi Roland, I recommend modifying your script to process both SQL and Domino. The script could simply stop/start SQL Server service. Unfortunately, there is no possibility to use both Veeam VSS integration and VMware Tools quiescence on the same VM. Thanks!

It could be interresting to run a pre backup script even if we use vss after.

I hope this for the next release/version
