Which VMs are growing for backups?

Post by rnt-guy »

Hi,

Our repository is getting low on space and we're trying to figure out which of the VMs we back up is growing the fastest on a daily basis. It already has dedupe on (Data Domain) and it's using the recommended settings so aside from adding storage or reducing restore & archival points there's not much we can do. But we're trying to at least figure out which VMs are growing so we can identify if it's legit or a problem. We suspect it's the Exchange databases but not sure.

If this can't be done built in looking at reports and such can it be done with Veeam One. We're going to do a trial and see what it can do, but this is the most urgent need. And not sure if we install the trial will it tell us retroactively by looking at logs and such.

Thanks!

Veeam One offer this via reports for example the "VM Change Rate History" is one of them that can help here.
