Our backup server is a Windows 2012 R2 virtual machine and I noticed that when I backup one of the linux VM i have several disk errors in the Windows 2012 event log.
The most common errors are:
Code: Select all
- Event ID 55, source: Disk
The file system structure on the disk is corrupt and unusable. Please run the chkdsk utility on the volume E:.
- Event ID 15, source: Disk
The device, \Device\Harddisk22\DR22, is not ready for access yet.
(this several times , all with the same timestamp)
followes by
- Event ID 157 Source: disk
Disk 22 has been surprise removed.
It could be that the proxy in attempting to check the integrity of a Linux partition, and failing as expected, but is there a way to avoid these messages?
The Event ID 15 seem to happen more often and with Windows VM
I have performed restores and tried to start Windows VM in Instant recovery, so I don't think there is a problem with the backup itself
Any suggestion?
