Hi,
over the last couple days i get the following error on my schedule backup. I get the error but then after 10 minutes on the retry the backup is successful which is weird
Please open a support case via control panel and let support team investigate the logs. Please, do not forget to post case ID to this thread. Thank you.
Ok that was fast reply and support kudos.
I got an instruction if i'm using any antimalware and antivirus on the computer. so this is my reply, lets see if it makes any difference.
My OS is windows 10 32bit fully updated and yes I use malwarebytes anti-malware home premium and Norton internet security 2016.
Keep in mind that the backup folder is a network folder so I’m not sure if the antimalware and antivirus scans these folders but it is a good guessing.
I made an exclusion of my \\dante\backup\vcon directory from antimalware but on the Norton internet security I cannot add a network exclusion.
unfortunately it didn't change behavior by putting the folder in exclusion of malwarebytes. Again i had a fail retry and the second time it was successfull.
am open to other suggestions,
let me know if you need any more action from my side
OK i think i narrow down the issue and it looks it is no VEEAMs problem.
I just bought my QNAP NAS and i think i have an issue since day one. i have randoms access denied fies when trying to delete or save file names. It doesn't look consistent and i cannot pinpoint it down. I have check shared folders permissions and have read/write on all my folders for my user but for some reason for example on the backup folder i cannot delete a file but after a minute i can delete the file with no problem.
So i think that is why the backup is failing on the first time. I will transfer this to QNAP forum for further investigation.
i may have solved this one. I change the username of the connected share in VEEAM settings from my username to the "admin" username and for two days now i have successful backups on the first try.
Am happy with that result
We have 2 qnap's we use for BC jobs
We have the same issue for a couple of days on my qnap's BUT I have my qnap's for quite some time.
We have the issue since I upgraded to 4.2.1 20160601
Do you had some good feedback from qnap? Do you have a case number wich I can use to reference to?

As stated at QNAP forums, you might need to install the proper hotfix for the NAS firmware. If it’s possible, reach QNAP support team to investigate this and request a fix. Thanks.
