How to correctly set "Exclude Events" override

Post by Nat65795 »

Hello,

I want to exclude two events in he rule "Veeam Vmware: Virtual Machine Warning". There is a parameter called "Exclude Events", but I cannot find documentation how to enter multiple events there. What is the separator? "," does not seem to work. Is it ";" or something else?

Kind regards

Hello Natascia,

You should be using "|" as a separator. For more info you can review examples of multiple events in the override itslelf:

Code: Select all

GeneralVmWarningEvent|VmMessageWarningEvent|Dummy.Event.Id.3|Dummy.Event.Id.4
Hope this helps!

Hello Natascia,

Just wanted to add the in the Exclude Events parameter you should put Event IDs, separated by "|". You can check All Events which are monitored by this rule here http://helpcenter.veeam.com/mp/65/refer ... oring.html

Also you can use the Exclude Text overridable parameter and specify text of the event that you want to exclude from the rule (also separated by "|", a "pipe" symbol)

Thanks.
