Hi,
Can the nWorks management pack be used to monitor an ESXi 'free' host? And if it can are there any restrictions on what information can be obtained?
For some background, we have a main and DR infrastrure with hosts added to vCenter and SCOM / nWorks for monitoring, and a number of remote offices with ESXi 'free'. These have SCOM agents to monitor the guests, and iLO access to the hardware over WAN, but no hypervisor level management. I'm wondering if licensing these hosts with nWorks could be an option to get some visibility of the hypervisor in SCOM?
Thanks in advance,
Steve

Hi Steve..
I believe you could also monitor the ESXi Hardware using the intergrated CIM SMASH information
