nWorks vs Croos-Platform MP

Hello,

We are in a phase to install SUSe Manager to patch our Linux environment. We have physical and VMs with Operating System SLES.
All out VMs are coming in SCOM through nWorks which means without agent.
Discussing the Microsoft Engineer managing the SUSe MP he told me I need to install an agent on all SLES machine to be able to use the SUSe MP.
Is nWorks able to send to SCOM the infromation needed bu SUSe MP to provide leval of patch, installation status (success, failure,.. etc...) as the native SCOM Agent is able to do?

Hello Dom,

You will need to install the SCOM Agent to have it collect and submit the information required by SUSe MP. nworks sees things from VMware side, so the information available from within the OS has to be obtained by the agent.
