Uninstalling collectors

Post by jdnussb »

Hello all,

So heres the situation. I had 2 collectors that were quite overloaded. So I built 2 new collectors for my management group that were dedicated collectors and not working on shared servers. Then I uninstalled the collectors on the first 2 overloaded servers, but for some reason they still show under the veeam collectors tab in the ops mgr console.

Is there a way to remove the old veeam collectors from the veeam collectors tab in SCOM?

Thanks

Hello Jacob,

Keep in mind that Collector discovery runs every 4 hours, so you may still see uninstalled objects in SCOM for a while. To force the (un)discovery, you can restart the SCOM agent on the collector server.

If you still see them after 4 hours, could you check that Veeam VMware Collector service is uninstalled on those 2 overloaded servers?

Thanks.
