Backup Job Schedule - Gantt Chart

Hello,

I am trying to get a visual view of my backup job schedules to check if any overlap. Is it possible with VeeamONE to display a gantt type chart for schedules?

Currently it is not possible, but we had a similar feature request regarding visualizations of backup job schedule. On a side note, can you please tell us how many jobs you have and what are you planning to do when you see overlaps in jobs schedule? Do you need to limit the load on the proxy/repository servers?

We have about 7 backup jobs that run nightly. There are some jobs (outside of veeam) that can tax the SAN that run over the weekends which can effect how long our backups run. I would like to be able to see visually when our veeam jobs run over the suspected backup window and when or if they overlap each other. Resources on the proxy/repositories are not a problem, however, having a job run over the projected window which causes jobs to overlap might cause some problems with vcenter if they are all taking snapshots at the same time.

It would be great if something like this could be on the road map.

Neil, I hope that I understood your idea correctly - you want to check how Veeam backup jobs overlap, but mostly you want to see how they overlap with other jobs (outside of Veeam), right?

Yep that is correct. Having a visual view of the backup window could really be helpful.

In our case, this type of chart helps illustrate our need for additional storage or storage improvements.

Yes, we added Job Calendar in v12, and we have plans to keep extending it with more workloads, and Veeam solutions, is this what you are looking for?
