Editting Threshold
Hi all,
I have queried google and edge before posting this message.
But the results dated back to articles from 2011 and aren't a viable source of information, any more.
I tried browsing every setting/config option I could find but there is no option to adjust the alert threshold of a backjob.
Even viwed the most recent user manual but could not find anything.
Was/is this actually a feature in Veeam?
Kind regard,
MC

Re: Editting Threshold
Hello MC,
There are many alerts related to the backup jobs. What threshold do you mean? Job duration?
Please let us know what you are trying to achieve.
Thanks

Hello,
You have an alarm called Maximum allowed job duration, it comes disabled by default, but you can tune it to your needs, granular to even job name, duration, etc:
Is this what you were looking for?
Thank you

Re: Editting Threshold
Thank you all for your replies and suggestions.
I was actually looking for a threshold alert/restriction regarding remaining available disk-space.
For example total storage 64TB current available remaining storage = 987,4GB. So the system keeps alerting WARNING below 10% available storage and or cancelling backup jobs because it's at or near the threshold.

Re: Editting Threshold
Hello MC,
Go to Alarm Management in the Veeam ONE UI and do a search as shown on a screenshot.
There would be thresholds for warning and error states on a rules tab. In addition, please check the Action tab, by default there is no action that could stop the backup job.
Thanks

Re: Editting Threshold
If a job is failing due to lack of free space then look in the options of your VBR server.
In the options is a tab for Notifications and you will probably find that Skip VM processing when disk space is below 10% is enabled. You can tailor this or even disable it if you so wished although that's not something I'd recommend

Hi all,
Good point, Mark.
Indeed there is a chance that the notification came from the VBR, not a VONE
Thanks
