How often does Veeam One collect vCenter data?

How often does Veeam One collect data from a vCenter Datacenter? We have some teams that are running processes that take about 5 minutes to complete and we wanted to see individual stats on those processes to see if CPU demand is being met. But when we look at the graphic seems to show in "5 minute intervals." So is it just the chart rolling data up into 5 minute chunks or is it only collecting stats from the cluster every 5 minutes? Can this update interval be adjusted?

Hi Jonathan,

Veeam ONE collects performance data in real-time and then displays it Monitor Client. As to the configuration data, then it is collected once a day and this interval can be configured in Veeam ONE Reporter configuration tab.

Interesting. So Veeam One has an active connection to our vCenter instances pretty much 24/7 collecting data as it comes into the system, correct?

Yes, that's correct. For real-time alerting this connection is required

What type of data is being pulled in regards to configuration data? Why would you only want this updated once per day?

By saying configuration data I refer to some advanced properties of the VMs, you can review them in the custom configuration report. All properties that are required for real-time troubleshooting and reporting is collected by Monitor collector. Another example of what is gathered by Veeam ONE Reporter is vSphere tags.
