Montoring SMS-shares on Fileserver VM
Is there any way or work around to monitor the reachability of a share on a VM fileserver.

Re: Montoring SMS-shares on Fileserver VM
Hello Da Li,
We currently do not support this level of OS monitoring. As we rely on VMware vSphere API/Microsoft Hyper-V counters to give us information, or Veeam components through WMI, etc.
Could you please explain a bit more what would you be expecting? That Veeam ONE triggers an alert in the case that an SMB status become unreachable on a fileserver, is it all Windows based?
Thank you

Re: Montoring SMS-shares on Fileserver VM
Yep, it's Hyper-V environment by the way. Nevertheless for example sometime a fileserver get's an update but did not get right down/restart. Some services keeps working, server keeps pingable but SMB shares are not reachable. Want to find something that can trigger it because not reachable share is the most annoying for users.
