There is no way to force it via UI. If you need it desperately, contact support team.

Out of curiosity, what is the new setting for the retention policy and why have you changed it?

The new setting is 1 month. We changed that because the SQL Express database has reached the 10 GB limit. The customer is running the free version of Veeam One.

Thanks, and the last one - how many hosts/datastores/VMs does this customer have?

Since a few weeks i have the same warning in the veeam monitor (8.0.0.1569).
I have changed the retention policy manually from 6 months to one month as described in this article. (C:\Program Files\Common Files\Veeam\Veeam ONE Settings\VeeamOneSettings.exe)
The alert does not clear altough i changed this like 2 weeks ago.
Is there any way to force the cleanup?

kind regards

Jochen

Hi Jovhen and welcome to the community!
I would repeat this suggestion.
Could you check what is the oldest performance data you have in Veeam ONE Monitor?
Thanks!

Dear,

I have changed the retention policy and shrunk the DB.
The error is gone now.

Kind regards

Thanks for the recall, Jochen!
By the way, we are planning to automate the process a bit, so you need to wait that long to implement the retention changes.

Hi, sorry for hijacking but I have this exact problem but with the VeeamBackup database. We are running SQL 2012 Express and upgrading to standard is not an option right now.

VeeamBackup db is 10GB
VeeamBackup_log is 7,5GB

Using SQL Studio Manager shows me the biggest tables

Which tables are ok to purge and how? Or can I just create a new DB and how do I do that correctly? What happens with my backups if I start using a new db?

Hello Rod78,
Have you tried to shorten retention?
What product version are you at by the way?

I meant retention of data you want to keep in the database. You can configure it via support utility.
Thanks!

The tool is for Veeam ONE DB only. The topic is on Veeam ONE about VO database. To purge VBR database, please contact Veeam support team.
Thanks!
