We had an issue recently where our database disk was full, our server monitoring system had a bug where we weren't notified, and a couple days of backups didn't happen as a result before we caught it. Since the database was full it didn't send out any failure notifications, and our jobs that call the API returned saying they were successfully submitted. We talked to our Veeam contacts and they said that there wasn't any Report or Alarm they're aware of which would check to see if a scheduled job ran, and the recommended posting on the forums. I tried doing a search for something similar to our situation, but couldn't find anything. We've got our server monitoring bug resolved, but it's shown us that a situation can come up where a job doesn't run when it's supposed to, and Veeam doesn't report it as a failure.
So my question is, on version 11, is there a method anyone can recommend to check and report if a backup job didn't run when it was scheduled to?

Re: Report or Alarm for job not run
Hi David
Welcome to the forum.
You can use Veeam One to alarm on maximum allowed job duration. A submitted job which runs much longer than expected should be investigated.

If you want to use a report, you can use the Protected VMs Report. It will allow you to report on RPO violations.
A VM which wasn't backed up in the expected RPO times should also be investigated.

Let's see if others have additional ideas.
Best regards

Re: Report or Alarm for job not run
Hello David,
In addition to the above, the "VM with no backup" alarm would rise if no backup restore points were created for the past 24 hours.
Thanks
