[V11a] Top issues tracker

This topic contains the top known issues of V11a based on their criticality and the number of support cases they generated.

#1: Protected VMs report fails with error after upgrade to V11a
Symptoms: When attempting to generate the Protected VMs report after upgrading to V11a report generation fails with the "Violation of PRIMARY KEY constraint 'PK__#all_vms__E7B6593F0D341491'. Cannot insert duplicate key in object 'dbo.#all_vms'." error message.
Cause: Issue with one of the stored procedures which caused the erroneous deletion of job sessions. Issue ID 348516.
Status: Please, contact our customer support to receive a hotfix.

#2: Reporting scopes in reports and widgets are empty, navigation between various Web Client views throws an "Internal Server Error" error after upgrade to V11a
Symptoms: Veeam ONE Web Client shows empty reporting scope in Veeam ONE Web Client reports and widgets, and navigation between various views of Veeam ONE Web Client results in the "Internal Server Error" errors after upgrade to V11a if Veeam ONE was initially installed more time ago than the configured data retention period (12 months by default) and the initially installed version was v9.5 Update 4a or earlier. This issue only happens if an infrastructure object added into the initial installation of Veeam ONE had been removed and only once the amount of time set in the retention period passed from the point when the virtual infrastructure was removed. The issue only affects Web Client functionality.
Cause: Issue in the data retention algorithms which causes the second run of the Data administration task after the upgrade to V11a to remove necessary root objects (including object relations) used in Veeam ONE Client for building the tree of objects. Issue ID 350092.
Status: For the hotfix, please refer to KB2439. Also, on December 1, 2021, we replaced the original Veeam ONE v11a ISO on the website with a new one that includes the hotfix.

#3: Plug-in backup data collection failure alarm causes false-positive alerts
Symptoms: Plug-in backup data collection failure alarm triggers even when the corresponding plug-ins are not installed.
Cause: This can happen in the cases when the ports required for plug-in operations are closed or the appliance service is not running, but we suspect there might be other causes. Issue ID 350677.
Status: Under investigation. Please, contact our customer support to provide us with additional information.

#4: Object properties data collection task of Veeam ONE Web Client causes abnormal CPU usage and fails due to timeout after upgrade to V11a
Symptoms: Object properties data collection task of Veeam ONE Web Client causes abnormal CPU usage on the Veeam ONE server and then fails due to timeout after upgrade to V11a.
Cause: Issue with indexing of temporary data tables. Issue ID 352173.
