Topology Collection Failure against B&R on same server
Hi
I've upgraded both Veeam B&R to V7 and Veeam ONE to V7. It's actually a clean install on new hardware, both products installed on the same box, and we are licensed up to the full Enterprise Plus level.
I keep getting Topology Collection failures when attempting to connect to the B&R server - in that it works, gets job information etc but will disconnect again a few minutes later. It's connected to the Enterprise Server. In the Data Protection View tree which shows in the infrastrucutre it changes between (not responding) and working for the B&R server. When it is connected it even gets information about storage, jobs etc, so when it connects there isn't a problem
Any thoughts or info on how others have fixed this would be great. I've tried referencing the B&R connection using IP, server name and 127.0.0.1 within Veeam ONE.
This is a support case 00438219 but it really is becoming a bit of a pain (840 junk emails this morning) so hoping for a speedy bit of knowledge from someone.
Thanks!

Hello Richard,
Based on the symptoms you describe it appears to be a known issue and our support team should have a hotfix for that, so keep working with them directly.
Thank you!

[MERGED] Veeam Monitor looses connection to B&R on same VM
Hello,
at a customer site we have installed Veeam B&R 7 and Veeam One 7 onto the same VM (Windows 2012). At the Data Protection View of Veeam Monitor the Monitor looses connction to the B&R Server and 1 second later the connection is reestablished. After some seconds the connection is lost again an reestablished ....
The B&R service runs fine but the customer gets a lot of messages that ther is a connction failure to B&R service.
Does this behavior occur because B&R and One are installed on the same machine?
thanks

Re: Topology Collection Failure against B&R on same server
Thanks Vitaliy and v.Eremin - I've just applied the hotfix from support and will observe over the next 24 hours.
Regards the hotfixes that are available for both B&R and One, is there a list of them/known issues? I appreciate that there is a hotfix if we identify the problem, and you need to track frequency of an issue, but would have been happy to look at a list of issues and apply the fix rather than bother support, so to speak. Possibly I am being dim and this was in the knowledgebase, but I couldn't identify it.

Re: Topology Collection Failure against B&R on same server
Hello, could you provide more details?
Topology collection failure may apply to Virtual and vCloud infrastructures as well as Veeam Backup infrastructure. What is written in the alarm notification details, is there any event mentioned?
Do you have VeeamONE and VBR equally updated(including patches/minor updates)? The latest versions of VBR and Veeam ONE are v9u1.
Thanks!

Re: Topology Collection Failure against B&R on same server
I would upgrade for the latest versions of VBR and Veeam ONE first. The lack of upgrade is probably not the issue, but may help and fixes a number of bugs(check the hyperlinks).
If you don`t want to upgrade or if the update doesn`t help, feel free to contact the support team to review the logs.
Thanks!

Re: Topology Collection Failure against B&R on same server
Since you have both servers installed on the same machine, opening a support case is definitely required here.
