VM's not being assigned the isolated network

Got an odd issue going on. I have a virtual lab setup in Veeam with the isolated networks and the associated network settings, all is good there. But when I run a data lab test, the virtual lab isolated network is not being assigned to the VM's nic, the original nic is being assigned. I was able to catch when the vm was registered in VMWare during the datalab test and manually set the isolated network on the vm nic without issue. Anyone know what may be going on?
