Hi everyone,
I have a question from one of our customers and as I am pretty new with vSphrere this question:
Is it possible to monitor the FATA Disk on the vSphere servers?
Kind Regards,
Jeroen

Re: FATA disk monitoring with HP Operations SPI
Hello Jeroen,
Yes, that shouldn't be a problem. We leverage VMware's VI SDK to obtain much of our data - that's an important part of being certified as VMware Ready. The SDK not only supplies the data, but it does so in a consistent format, in spite of differences between vendors and drive types. Just as an FC enclosure treats a FATA drive as it would any other FC-compatible disk, the SDK presents us with the same view on any disks used as a datastore.
Regards,
Nick K.
