Hi,
is it neccessary to suspend a virtual linux machine to backup with veeam 8 B&R?
Or is it clever? The reason why i ask is: database consistence
The linux machine is a webserver, ftp, mail and mysql database server.
What are the steps (or the configuration parameters that are neccessary) to backup a linux virtual machine without corrupted database, etc?
Best Regards,
Billabong

Re: Backup Linux VMs on an Hyper-V host
James, VMs that do not support VSS are suspended automatically, provided that default settings are used. However, the best idea would be to use pre-freeze/post-thaw scripts to make application-consistent backups of the Linux VM.
