Ok - Windows 10 laptop, first full backup was not encrypted. I then enabled bitlocker on the C Drive.
Just done a test restore - chose latest incremental point and full system is not encrypted.
What am I missing, is it supported to be this way?
Thanks in advance,

No option to unlock.
Did the restore twice, physical system has bitlocker enabled - and tested
The restored version was spot on since last backup.
Perplexed as why its not encrypted?

Hi Scott,
To make sure we are on the same page - was it a bare metal recovery thru the recovery media or you performed a volume level recovery while logged in to the regular OS? Thanks
