I have a question regarding using anti-virus software on our Veeam servers.
I provided a list of exceptions to our anti-virus team to be set for Veeam based on the KB: https://www.veeam.com/kb1999
However I was asked to check the recommendations regarding the exclusions to be 'on-access only' as well as if a scheduled scan can be performed safely.
Is it possible to confirm what is advised for the Veeam proxies, repository and Veeam server regarding the on-access only mechanism?

Re: anti-virus 'on-access only'
Backup infrastructure is scanned periodically to detect the health of the installed services. If you want to do schedule antivirus scans, then you can do that, just make sure these checks are not performed during backup job execution as well as restore operations.
