Hyper-V host with 2003 Guest?

I have a Windows 2008 R2 SP1 Hyper-V host with a single 2003 guest. Will VEB back up the VHDs? Crash consistent state is okay because it is currently running Windows Server Backup, and I am pretty sure that is backing up the 2003 VM in a crash consitent state.

Yes, VEB will backup all data stored in the local disks of the Hyper-V host.
