i would like to request the following options for future releases:
- scheduling backup jobs and maintenance should have to the option to run on odd or even weeks.
- when scheduling a job which runs after another job there should be an option to combine this with selected days
Is there a special reason why you would want to run it only on odd or even weeks? Trying to think of a scenario where this would come in handy but seem to fail (I should get more coffee I guess )
If there is a missing option in our built-in scheduler, you can always try to use Windows Task Scheduler to launch the jobs, but I also would like to hear the scenario you're after. Thanks!
my customer has a main site with two esx machines and a third physical for veeam. In another small Office he got a single esx machine which gets backed up by the main veeam machine over two proxys at the office. One proxy runs on a virtual machine and the other one on an "always on" pc. He wants two separate backup repositorys at this site because of the cheaper hardware solution, one runs on even weeks and the other one on odd weeks. At the moment you have to enable and disable the two jobs once a week.
Having this option from the inside scheduler would be much more appreciated than handling with an outside dependency.
I guess the other request is a little bit more obvious?
