old SSL libraries

Please add an option to install Veeam without suppport for all this old junk then.

I don't want to have all these old SSL libraries on our systems:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Veeam\Backup Transport\x64\vix\ssleay32.dll [0.9.8.20]
C:\Program Files (x86)\Veeam\Backup Transport\x64\vddk_6_0\bin\ssleay32.dll [1.0.2.10]
C:\Program Files (x86)\Veeam\Backup Transport\x64\vddk_6_7\bin\ssleay32.dll [1.0.2.16]

This "old junk" will still be supported in V12.

Yeah, that's why I am asking for an installer feature selection to get rid of this...
I don't want to install libraries with > 80 known security issues just because some people don't get their systems updated to supported versions in time.

vmware 6.x is EOL/EOS in less than six months.

Unfortunately this would not be possible, as they are not installed directly by the installer but rather are a part of the binary Transport MSI package which is deployed by the product itself when you create a new VMware backup proxy. However, their presence should not be of any concern if you're not using VMware 6.x, because they will never be used by the product.

The easiest way is to update to the newer vSphere build. I wonder whether there are reasons to stay on the obsolete platform version. Thanks!

The reason is VMware compatibility matrix with not very fresh hardware.
