Veeam upgrade path

Post by trackstar »

We currently have Veeam 11.01.1261 P20230227 and Veeam One Monitoring 11.0.1.1880 on the same server. We are are upgrading our license from Veeam Data Platform Advanced Enterprise to Veeam Data Platform Premium. What would be the next version upgrade path and have the ability to use Ochestrator?

Thanks,
TT

Hi Trackstar

Please contact our sales team or a local reseller/partner for any question about updating your license to Veeam Data Platform Premium.
Partner directory: https://www.veeam.com/find-partner.html?type%5B%5D=VAR

For the technical part of your question. First, you should update to V12.1.
Your version is already end of support. Upgrade path:
1.) Veeam One
2.) Veeam Enterprise Manager (if installed)
3.) Veeam Backup & Replication
Veeam One: https://www.veeam.com/kb4357
Veeam Backup & Replication: https://www.veeam.com/kb2680

After you have a supported environment, you can install the Orchestrator as well.
Version 7.0 is the most recent version: https://www.veeam.com/kb4358

Veeam Recovery Orchestrator must be installed on a dedicated server, preferably in your disaster recovery side (or cloud). Having it in the production side is not helpful in case of a disaster affecting the entire building/location.

Of course. V12.1 support vCenter/ESXi 7.0:
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=120

The kb you shared lists the „minimum“ version of Veeam Backup & Replication you require for a specific vSphere release.
