Q: Is the installation of agents for infrastructure visibility, utilization monitoring, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), and Vulnerability Management and Patching supported?
A: No, generally we do not support installing any 3rd party software on the software appliance. We like to refer to software appliance as "Pre-build, Pre-hardened and Predictable" with the latter specifically thanks to the appliance being completely self-contained. While with intrusive 3rd party software, it becomes completely unpredictable.
Q: How can additional storage be added to the Veeam Software Appliance or Veeam Infrastructure Appliance?
A: Currently there is no built-in option for that. We are aware of the feature request, but have no timeline.
Q: How can "registry keys" be configured as there is no Windows registry on Linux?
A: "registry keys" are now "configuration options" in /etc/veeam/veeam_backup_and_replication.conf. That file can be edited by import / export via the Host Management Console web interface in "Logs and Services" -> Host Configuration. Configuration options / "registry keys" must be set in the [root] section.

A: These options are only available in the command line interface (Host Management Console) via the advanced network settings. It's currently done via a native Linux software package called "nmtui"
