[V13] JeOS disk space requirements

Post by tm67 »

Hi
We are planning to use JeOS for a hardened repository.
In the requirements, there is mentioned "minimum two disks of 120GB"
I understand this so we need 2 disks for the OS. And another 3rd disk for the backup repository data itself.
Or is the 2nd disk for the actual repository data itself? If both options are available, is it better to have 2 or 3 disks?
(of course all of those disks must have some kind of an underlying hardware raid)

And another question: is JeOS (on a physical server in my case for a hardened repository) compatible with Windows based VBR when 13.0.1 is released or do we have to migrate to VSA (which I think will be possible when 13.0.1 is released?)

Hi, Timo

1/ Second disk is also used also for the actual repository, so just make it bigger and not minimum required size.

2/ Yes, it is compatible. Remember Windows installable software is the same exact code as the one in VSA, it's cross-platform.

Thanks
