Hi,
Since Veeam backup for Azure is an appliance, as part of log collection, can the following enhancement be added - to be able to collect system logs from the server?
Please.
Regards.

Re: Veeam backup for Azure - Appliance - collect system logs
Hi,
Are you reffering to just syslog or any other logs that are required by your company?

Re: Veeam backup for Azure - Appliance - collect system logs
Hi,
Primarily syslogs or logs within /var/log
This is for an existing case 07818922 where in we have observed twice that the appliance cannot connect with the Azure storage account (backup repository). The only way to resolve this is by rebooting the appliance.
The support engineer points this to DNS setting, which I don't believe is true as every other option fails to get the backup to run and the only solution we have observed is to reboot the appliance.
In such cases, if there is an option to collect generic syslogs, it will help us debug.

Understood.
We'll look into what can be done here for potential future enhancement.
Are you collecting logs with a specific application as it may be possible to install their agent/tool to forward those? Like splunk, syslog-ng or any other SIEM tool?
