Hi,
I'm just wondering what will happen.
When restoring a dc, it will do a non-authoritative restore by default. But what happens if I turn on a replica of a broken DC?
thx

Re: Starting a DC replica
Hello,
I think the behavior of failover is the same as during restore, but please allow me some time to run a few tests to confirm this.
Thanks!

Re: Starting a DC replica
Hello,
@KoHell
I confirm that the behavior is the same. We have conducted some additional tests to validate this behavior and to ensure that there are no pitfalls.
When you create a DC replica with application-aware image processing enabled, it will be put into DSRM mode during failover, and the machine will boot in Safe Mode with all AD services disabled. There is no impact on production during replica failover or during a restore from backup.
Once we exit DSRM and reboot, the services start and function as expected.
Thanks!
