Installing Veeam on "one man band server"

Post by davide.depaoli »

Hello,
very very very small customer, who has a "one man band" server (domain ctrl, application server), even if it is certainly not a best practice, is it technically possible to install veeam server (Essentials), windows agent and make a backup of itself?
thank you
best regards
Davide

Hello Davide,

Sounds like you can just use Veeam Agent to protect such server - no need for a full Veeam B&R deployment. Thank you!

Hi Dima,
you are right, but I culpably forgot to mention that the agent would also be installed on some PCs and that they would like a copy in the cloud, and I was thinking of using Veeam Connect for this.
thank you
