Add organization without having access to Global Admin

Post by panzer »

I have a new customer that will not allow me to logon to their tenant during the "Add organization" procedure. Is it possible for me to add the organization and then have the customer to add the neccessary permissions in Azure?

You can go through the wizard and supply them with the code to authenticate and deploy the enterprise application that way. We do this for a number of clients where we don't have access.

This is the step where the client can authenticate your request.

You can follow Mark’s advice,
or ask the customer to pre-deploy an Entra ID application with the necessary permissions.
The customer then needs to provide you with the Entra ID application ID and secret — or preferably the certificate — for authentication.

If you’re allowing customer to access the Service Provider Console for Self-Service, the customer can configure the M365 organization themselves.

I tested Marks' advice (why didn't I think of that...), but on the customer site the procedure was stopped. Their tenant detected that the request came from a computer (my backupserver) outside of the customers control
