In one specific case I have a customer with two proxies and each proxy has one repository, and of course two separate jobs.
I need to make one job running on one proxy (don't ask, long story) using one repository.
A) If I could "move" the data from repo2 to repo1 then I could simply change the job and be done with it.
B) If that is not possible I would need to change job1 to backup all, in effect this would mean that half the backup would be a new full backup.
Also, if the retention must be kept I would also need to keep the now unused repo2 for as long as needed.
Question: is A possible? and if so how? I'm not directly aware of any options. Any other suggestions how to meet the objectives other than outlined in B.
Customer is running on v8 (latest build) and both repositories are object repositories.

Re: move data from one bucket to another (merge buckets)
Hi Alex,
Regarding a)
As discussed in several topics (e.g. this one), such migrations are currently not supported.
While some partners have successfully migrated entire buckets from A to B, I don't expected merging two different repositories into a single one to work. Please avoid attempting this.
Regarding b)
Your proposed approach looks good to me. The existing backups on the old repository will remain and be cleaned up according to the configured retention. Since retention is managed at the repository level, it applies even when no backup job is actively running.
Thank you,
Fabian
