Kaspersky reports virus in B&R13

Hello, we have just installed Veeam 13 on two systems. On both, Kaspersky is showing multiple threats.




I assume this is a false positive, but I would appreciate more information about it.

Hello, we can't provide any comments on a 3rd party product's output. Try reaching out to the actual vendor, they should be able to give you with more information about these reports. Thanks

Well, I think Veeam should be concerned if its installation is classified as harmful by a major antivirus manufacturer.

We're concerned but we can't provide you any information still because it's not our code and we can't possibly say why did it decide to tag legitimate product files as malware.

On the other hand, the actual vendor has access to both the code and the dedicated research team that can manually inspect these files and fix the detection egine to prevent false positives.
