Veeam B&R 13 Setup Problems

Im trying to install B&R 13 Community Edition on a fresh WinServer2022 Std.

1st.
I'd like to use MSSQL, for reasons. I can set everything up, the DB is in place and setup says OK, install starts but what does it install? Postgres.. WHY?

2nd.
Installation is ongoing, but fails at step 2 of 7 with “VmaNetExtenderCaller - Cannont find file specified” then the intallation is “finished”.

3rd.
I’ll retry with with PostgresSQL, as setup is forcing me anyway, then its working.

I dont want to use postgres!

Hi DasRabe, welcome to the forums.

Postgres is installed as it is used as the target for EntraID backups, so you will have both on your server.

If you select Microsoft SQL at this step of the installation, the configuration database will be placed on your MSSQL instance.
