Documentation Feedback regarding switching Linux Repositories to Hardened Repositories

Post by Steveeo »

Hi,

Well it worked eventually finding the right information thanks to Veeam support (Charan R), someone needs to update the document as no wonder it couldn't be found https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vbr/u ... tml?ver=13
Its hidden under the heading "Upgrading or Switching Linux Repositories to Hardened Repositories" you generally format (I guess connection to the disk you like? it worked on iscsi connection for me) to xfs then run this command
chown -R owner:group <dir_path>
Done nothing else just format run that with the relevant user account (owner and group normally the same name) then add ass hardened repository using that same account.
Waisted so long of my time and backwards and forwards with support to just find that one illusive stupidly placed line!

Hi Steven,

There’s a feedback button on each Help Center page. Have you already used it to share your feedback directly with our documentation team? That would be helpful, as it ensures the team receives the input straight from the customer.
The documentation team is generally very responsive to customer feedback, even if it may take some time to get a reply.

If not, I’m happy to look into it — but could you please share the case number first so I can understand the full situation?

Best,
Fabian
