Hi,
Due to security consideration. our company are planning to isolate our Veeam Backup and Replication Environment. Currently, We had Veeam Backup and Replication, Veeam Enterprise Management and Veeam ONE. Our production VM was hosting on the the Hyper-V. We installed our VBR on the Windows Server 2025 and joined to domain .Here are my questions.
1. What is the Veeam suggest Best Practice for Veeam Backup Environment? VBR server should not be part of domain ?
2. We probably need to change all our IP address and VLAN for our Veeam Backup and Replication, Veeam Enterprise Management and Veeam ONE. what is the process to change this?

Re: change IP and VLAN for Veeam
Hi Apollo
1.) Our Best Practices can be found here.
In short, it is not recommended to put your backup server into the production domain. A separate management domain with a forest trust is OK.
2.) If you use FQDNs today to connect to remote infrastructure components, then the IP change will be easy—just change it in your OS settings and then on DNS Server. But if you connected everything using IP addresses instead of FQDNs, you may need to follow the procedure in KB1905.
Don’t forget to configure the required firewall rules for the new IP addresses first.
Best,
Fabian

Re: change IP and VLAN for Veeam
Thanks Fabian,
How about the Veeam Enterprise Management and Veeam ONE? Same process?
