Application aware snapshot powers on VM

Hello,

We have a backup policy where we enabled the option 'application aware snapshots'.
This backup policy contains some powered-off Azure VMs.
We now see that during backup these VMs are powered on by Veeam (and not powered off again).

Is this normal behaviour?

Hi Bert,

Let me look into this. I believe this is standard by design because the VSS agent requires to connect to the servers and that the recommendation is to exclude the servers from this policy and protect by a policy without the option enabled.
