[Feature Request] BTRFS Fast Clone Support

Hi!

I wonder if Veeam has plans to support Fast Clone with BTRFS as a backup Repository. Due to BTRFS built in data integrety and self healing ablilities it should be more safe than XFS.

A thought further, once data integrety and self healing ablilities are in use, Veeam could make more intense use of RefLinks to safe more physical space.

I know, there are always tradoffs between features and usability (e.g. restore speed) but i'm really interested if Veeam has already at least evaluated this?

Not yet.

Our general recommendation is to keep backup environments updated to the latest patch level. May I ask why the upgrade to v12.3.2.4854 is not possible in your environment?

Oops, yes, you are correct. I must have opened too many topics.

Regarding Btrfs and fast clone support, we did some research, but it is currently not on our roadmap.

Another file system we looked into is ZFS. From what I have read, ZFS has similar benefits to Btrfs.
However, it is still under experimental support.
