Hello
I just upgraded to V13 and noticed it deploys a Postgres server now. I assumed this would take over the MSSQL server instance we had installed. However, once the upgrade was completed and I was able to verify everything worked, I logged out of the client and stopped all the MSSQL services and the app will no longer launch until I start those services up.
Can I ask what the purpose of deploying a Postgres server was during the upgrade if it still uses the MSSQL ? I was really hoping I could decommission the MSSQL server entirely, but nope.
Thanks,

Re: VeeamOne 13 Postgres Question
Hi pmichelli
Veeam ONE v13.0 still requires Microsoft SQL Server for the Veeam One configuration database.
PostgreSQL is only used for the reporting database (caching for Veeam ONE Reports: Help Center).
Full PostgreSQL support is planned, but there is no ETA yet.
Best,
Fabian

Re: VeeamOne 13 Postgres Question
So if we need a separate instance of PostgreSQL (either on the VeeamONE server or a separate machine), what resources should we allocate for it? The installation guide includes specs for SQL, but not PGSQL.

Re: VeeamOne 13 Postgres Question
Hello David,
I would recommend start low, because the PostgreSQL dopesn't do much heavy lifting, around 2vCPU/16GB RAM / 100GB Disk will be the minimum.
I will make sure we can add some numbers to the helpcenter soon
