[V13] VSA - Availability on AWS/Azure Marketplace?
Hello,
We are currently running v12 Enterprise Manager and a few VBR servers on AWS and are planning to move to Veeam 13 using a greenfield deployment so we can adopt the Veeam Software Appliance and clean up a lot of legacy crap.
Our only roadblock at this point is how EM and VBR will be deployed in public cloud with VSA. Is the VSA expected to be available via AWS / Azure Marketplace?
If yes, is there an ETA that can be shared?
cheers!

Hello, yet it is expected later this year but no specific ETA at the moment. If I had to guess, 3-6 months depending on whether it is AWS or Azure. Thanks

Thank you Gostev.
Did I get it right? AWS will be released first?

What's the status here?
We also have to install a Veeam B&R Server on Azure for one of our customers. Just checked the Azure Marketplace and all i see is "Veeam Backup & Replication", which is v12 still. And "Veeam Data Platform", but this is with subscription included and there's no version information. We do have VUL already though.
Do we have to manually deploy a VM on azure from the v13 VSA .iso?

Hi,
The timeline that was previously discussed is still relevant.

Re: [V13] VSA - Availability on AWS/Azure Marketplace?
I'm a little confused by this post. I'd like to deploy a new VBR Software Appliance in Azure, migrating from our current VMWare v12 Windows instance. Looking at the posts above, it seems there are no problems with this, but the support matrix doesn't seem to show any support for Azure-native instances of the VSA?

Hi,
we have the same scenario here, We need to move our on-prem VBR in VSA to Azure.
If we migrate the On-Prem VSA vm to Azure is this will be supported?
Thank you

Hi,
I currently have two customers waiting for VSA on AWS/Azure Marketplace. Any valid timeline we can communicate about ETA here?
Thank you,
Andreas

Any update on this? I do show Veeam Backup & Replication v13 showing in marketplace but assuming this is a Windows VM? Not really sure, but same question as others I'd like to keep our VBR appliance in Azure.

Hi,
Same request here from couple of client that are 100% on Azure, an they would like to run the VSA instead on the Windows VBR.
Thank you

Hi all,
We don’t have an ETA yet. We are currently waiting for an upcoming FIPS image support in Microsoft Azure.
As soon as this support is available, we can start planning the VSA release in the marketplace.
Best,
Fabian
