Hy!
I want to test some VMs with SureBackup job, when I start the SureBackup job, I can start with selected restore point. In this case the job will start all of th VMs in application group from the same restor point. The question, how can I select different restore point when I start the SureBackup job? So for example I want to start VM1 with 07.15. and VM2 07.14. Is it possible somehow?
The VBR version: 12.3.2.4854
Thanks.

Re: SureBackup job & different restore points
Hi Adam
A SureBackup Job will start the most recent restore point to your selected time and date.

If you need to test restore points from VMs taken at different days, then you can use Manual Recovery Verification. In the Restore Point window, select an approximate date of the restore point creation. Veeam Backup & Replication will pick the most recent restore point prior to this time and start, verify and perform necessary tests for VMs from this restore point.

Re: SureBackup job & different restore points
Hello Fabian,
I am not sure, that this solution is suitable for my purpose. I want to test our ERP and finance systems (these are different VMs) with differetn restore points. Furthermore, I have a client VM that is a jump machine. This client machine only accessible from our production network and the isolated network.
Are there any solution for example, PowerShell?
Thanks,
Adam

Re: SureBackup job & different restore points
Hi Adam,
Then I would try using two different SureBackup jobs.
In each one, link the backup job and exclude all VMs (Exclusions), keeping only the VM you want to test with that specific job.
You can then start each SureBackup job, and it will only test the VM you have not excluded.
In an Application Group, you can specify which VMs must always be started and tested so that the SureBackup job can successfully test linked backup jobs. Application Groups typically contain DNS or Active Directory servers — servers that the VMs in linked jobs rely on.
Best,
Fabian

Please keep in mind that Application Groups are normally not the configuration used to specify which VMs you want to test in a SureBackup job.In this case the job will start all of the VMs in the application group from the same restore point.
