You can currently use Veeam Agents BMR restore option to restore backup to any cloud or platform.

I think what the green poster meant was you can install Veeam Agent for Windows/Linux on the guest OS running on Alibaba cloud and do backups/restores that way. It's a bit long-way round, but it should work.

We would like to request a feature enhancement to provide direct restore capabilities to Alibaba Cloud, similar to the existing restore options available for AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Currently, due to the unavailability of a direct restore option for Alibaba Cloud, we are unable to perform cloud-native restores directly to Alibaba Cloud environments. This limitation significantly increases the time required during Disaster Recovery (DR) scenarios, as additional manual steps are needed to restore and migrate workloads.

Having a direct restore option for Alibaba Cloud would help us:

Reduce Recovery Time Objective (RTO) during DR operations.
Simplify the recovery process and minimize manual intervention.
Achieve a restoration experience consistent with AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Improve operational efficiency and business continuity.

We kindly request that you consider adding direct restore to Alibaba Cloud as part of your product roadmap.

Your support in evaluating this enhancement request would be greatly appreciated, as it would address a critical DR requirement for our environment.
