flag VCC vCD Snapshots as internal?

Hello,

we have Customers utilizing Veeam Cloud Connect Replication to VMware Cloud Director (VCD) for replicating Snapshots to our vCD.
When the Customer logs into his vCloud Tenant Portal, he can't see his replica snapshots created by Veeam, because they're mostly flagged as external snapshots.
The issue is, that we had to apply the setting to hide external snapshots on the underlying vCenter server because of the following:

I'm unaware how VMware Cloud Director (VCD) explicitly identifies snapshots as in- or external.
My question is, if there is a way to flag/manipulate those replica snapshots as internal ones so it can be seen by the customer in the tenant Portal.

Hello,

VMware Cloud Director treats a snapshot as internal only if it was created through its own API. Anything taken directly on the underlying vCenter is external, and Cloud Director does not provide a way to reclassify one after the fact. Veeam creates and manages replica restore points as ESXi-level snapshots through vCenter, so they will always show up as external.

That said, you don't really want these visible in the tenant portal: the snapshots are the restore points of the replication chain, and a tenant who reverts or removes one destroys restore points and breaks replication. Tenants should instead work with replica restore points from their own Veeam Backup & Replication console, where they pick the restore point they need during full or partial site failover.
