I've got a snapshot based backup.
Now I restructured all sharepoint websites for a better handling of permissions.
I deleted all "old" sharepoint websites and only got "new" ones left.
How do i continue my backup?
can i simply continue to use my backup-organization/backup-job i've been using so far?
is there anything i should take care of first?

Re: Restructured Sharepoint Website, Snapshot Based Backup
Hi gpar,
New SharePoint sites are detected as "new objects", so you won’t be able to “continue” the existing backup with incrementals.
It’s okay to use the same backup job, but the job will create new full backups for the new sites.
Best,
Fabian

Re: Restructured Sharepoint Website, Snapshot Based Backup
Dear Fabian,
thank you for your response. Just to get it right:
- i will not be able to "continue" the old backup as there are new websites
- technically, my old sharepoint website will be "frozen" as it was before deletion
- my new sharepoint websites will be added to the "old" backup as "new objects" so there will be a "full new backup" on the same disc as the old
-> all new websites will be backupped completely new even though the files are old, because of the new structure
-> all files from the old website will be kept in the latest snapshot before deletion
-> all mailboxes, teams etc. will "continue" without a full new backup as no changes had been made
- if i want to restore files from the "old website" i will jump back to a date/snapshot before deletion
- if i want to restore files from the "new website structure" i will jump back to a date/snapshot after deletion
- all on the same backup disc and same backup job.
did i get this right?
