Good day,
I think it would be a good idea if all dialog boxes with email notifications would have a “Test Message” button.
In the VBR, without listing them all, here are some dialog boxes missing such button:
• Backup Job – Storage -- Advanced
• Configuration Backup Settings -- Notifications
• Malware Detection Settings -- Notifications
• Security & Compliance Analyzer --- Schedule
• SureBackup Job – Settings – Advanced
It would benefit all clients, and standardize coding.
Regards,
François

Re: [Feature Request] – Nice to have a “Test Message” button on all dialog boxes with email notifications.
Hello François,
All the dialogs you listed send through the mail server configured in the global email notification settings, and that is where the Test Message button lives today. It validates the delivery path (mail server, authentication, certificates) product-wide, while the individual dialogs only add recipients and job-specific conditions on top. Could you please elaborate, what is the point to duplicate test button in every notification type, while the server configuration is centralized in the product and the button would anyway just invoke the global test option in the first place.
