Read only is currently not possible, and there are multiple topics about this request.
May I ask which endpoints you are interested in? Do you want to monitor backup job sessions through API? Or something else?

I am in the same situation. A third party will develop new billing integration for us. To not be able to give them readonly access is absurd.

Same here. I opened a feature request about this for VBR. Goal: use all APIs with GET to read information (sessions, restore points, managed servers, licensing etc.)
