EM: Restoring from restore lists - multiple destinations

Post by jeronimo »

Hello,

Concerning Restore Lists in Enterprise Manager (https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vbr/e ... tml?ver=13)

Say you have several objects to restore:

Machine 1 /tmp/111
Machine 2 /var/tmp/222

When you choose to "Restore to" i.e. another location than original, you can only select a single destination.

Ideally you should be able to choose _per object_ where it should be restored to and do it all in one step. Otherwise what is the restore list good for, except for restore to original location? With "Restore to", original path information will be lost.

Also it would be interesting to be able to say: I want to restore to another machine, but keep the path as is, without having to specify it again.

I hope you get the idea: it should be more flexible / UX should be improved.

Thanks.

Hi Jeronimo,

It is very unlikely that we will continue improving the Enterprise Manager Web UI. Improvement requests for Web based Restores will most likely go to the Backup Server Web UI instead.

Have you tried the new Web UI introduced in V13.0 already? V13.1 now also supports RBAC with custom roles in Web UI.

Best,

AFAICS Web UI (here: 13.1.1) does not have a Restore List at all like EM does :(

If WebUI becomes the main thing in the future, there are some things to add. Like the requirement to be able to search indices?
Does it mean EM will become as deprecated as Console?
