Upgrade Windows or migrate new server
Hello,
I have VBM365 all in one (appliction + repository + proxy) installed on a Windows 2019 server.
I need to upgrade/migrate it on 2025.
I would like to know if I upgrade it, will Veeam365 work transparently ?
Upgrade = I use Windows 2025 ISO and next next next... at the end the OS is 2025
And if I format the OS partition where windows is installed and I install it again with Windows 2025 and configure again the application to use the repository located on the others drives, will it work ? I mean, can I reuse the "old" backup ?
Is there any step involved for it to work ?
Thanks for your help

Re: Upgrade Windows or migrate new server
I answer to myself:
For the "migration" with formating os drive, I guess thos KB is the solution : https://www.veeam.com/kb2649
So I guess when using in place upgrade, veeam microsoft 365 doesn t care about it and it should continue to works fine.

Re: Upgrade Windows or migrate new server
hi,
i did a in-place upgrade from Windows Server 2016 to 2022 some time ago and it worked fine for me.
i only had some troubles with the storage reports afterwards. but i think it resolved by it self after some weeks.

In-place upgrade should work seamlessly.
The repository question is now being checked by our QA team - I'll let you know the outcome.
