Hi,

Veeam does not support AS400, that is correct.

Hi Niels,

Are there any plans to support AS/400 (i) in a future release?

Thanks.

Hello Matteo,

No, nothing planned so far. But I would like to hear your use cases/scenarios.

Hi Rovshan,

I'm going to implement the ABR (Application Backup Repository) for one customer that has the following system to protect:
Platform: IBM i (AS/400)
Database: IBM Db2 for i
DB Version: V7R6M0
Operating System: IBM i 7.6

Another one has the following one and he's interested in Veeam backup solutions:
- Power S814 physical machine
- V7R5M0 operating system
- Backup via native system, one CL program
- Direct save to tape (LTO7 tape), not to disk
- Daily full backup
- Save program and data libraries to tape. User libraries (with files and programs) + IFS data + QDLS data are saved. Files are saved exactly as they are in the system.
- Occupancy: User libraries 1.3 TB + IFS 19 GB + QDLS 1.89 GB. On tape, they will take up slightly less space because compression is enabled.

Thanks.
